Hey everybody!
I thought that you'd like to know some different charities to help children who are suffering from fatal illnesses like cancer. Every bit helps. I know that these very sick children and their families would appreciate it. These children need a lot of love, support, and medical care. Hope you can help.
CHRISTOPHER GIBNEY MUSIC FOUNDATION
This first charity was established by my brother David and his wife Quynh in memory their son Christopher Emmett Gibney (my nephew). As many of you may know, Christopher "Little Rainbow Dragon" died on December 19, 2007, just two weeks shy of his 3rd birthday. He died of a horrible children's disease called Neuroblastoma Cancer. My brother David is a music teacher. He and his wife started this charity in Christopher's name for children who love music. They receive musical instruments. Here is the web site where you can donate, and find out more about Neuroblastoma and my dear little nephew Christopher. They also have a snail mail address if you would like to donate that way. Every little bit helps. Some of the money goes to another charity, like below who specializes in research for Neuroblastoma. We don't have a logo for them yet, but the web site has pics.

CHILDREN'S NEUROBLASTOMA CANCER FOUNDATION (CNCF)
This is the main organization who helped Christopher and my family get through this most horrific time in our lives. This is a very good charity, and they have to be the most loving people I've ever met. Here is the web site:

You can also donate by way of snail mail or over the phone. They take credit cards, money orders, and personal checks.

RONALD McDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES
The Ronald McDonald's House Charities help families with problems regarding health care. For example, if a family has a problem affording a place to stay near and support their hospitalized child, the charity will pay for a place for them to stay, no matter where their child is undergoing treatment. The children have cancer, or any other fatal illness. The Ronald McDonald House Charities also help these families get basic medical and dental care in under-served communities.
This organization was very helpful to my brother David and Quynh while Christopher was going through chemotherapy and radiation. They found them a really nice place to be near my little nephew while he got his treatments (may he rest in peace).

ST. JUDE'S CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL
As you may know, St. Jude's Research Hospital is one of the leading research hospitals that help find cures to rid children of various cancers. Over the past few years they've really been concentrating a lot on Neuroblastoma research. In fact, there was one particular commercial that sticks out in my mind. They had Robin Williams talking about how horrible Neuroblastoma is and how St. Jude's can help.

MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION (MDA) a/k/a "Jerry's Kids."
The MDA had been around since the 1960s since it founder, actor/entertainer, Jerry Lewis found it. The MDA helps those with different forms of muscular dystrophy. It kills children and adults every day. Please help find a cure for this horrible deadly disease by donating to this cause. Here is the web site:

MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION:
This charity helps children with fatal illnesses make their dreams come true. It helps children up to 18 years of age. This is a very compassionate charity group. In fact, I've volunteered at my local county chapter a few times. IMO they are incredibly awesome. They help so many children in so many ways. Below is the web site for the national Make-A-Wish Foundation, where you can read their mission statement. You can donate there or through local chapters in your area.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Habitat for Humanity doesn't focus on cancer, but it a great organization. HFH helps people in economic need afford housing by helping build their homes. HFH seeks to eliminate poverty and homelessness from the world, to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. You can learn more about the charity at the web site below.
